Description | The project comprises the closing of a green loan facility to support the development of renewable energy projects of the sponsor to Sermsang Palang Ngan Company Limited (SPN) across Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. SPN received a financial package of $64m, the lender of $32m is International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the other $32m come as a parallel loan from Siam Commercial Bank (SCB). The support was announced on March 6th, 2024. It is aimed to address the region's growing energy demand, by financing the expansion of SPN with the acquisition, development, and construction of renewable projects - solar farms, solar rooftops, and biomass, in Thailand and other ASEAN countries.
