Winchai Company Limited (“Winchai” or “the Company”), wholly owned by Sermsang Power Corporation Public Company Limited (“SSP” or “the Sponsor”), will be provided a loan package of up to THB3,140 million, including an A Loan of up to THB 1,570 million and the remainder to be mobilized from one or two commercial banks as Parallel Loan(s). The A Loan will be used for refinancing Winchai's existing loan. The proceeds from the parallel loan will be partially used to repay the balance of the existing loan, and the rest will be used to finance the Sponsor’s development and construction of new greenfield wind and solar projects in Southeast Asia. No IFC funds will be used to acquire or develop other projects identified by the Sponsor.Winchai owns and operates a 44.85MW wind farm which has been operational since 2019 (the “Project”) and SSP completed the acquisition of Winchai from the previous owner in March 2024. The Project has thirteen (13) wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.45MW.  The turbine tower height is 162m with a 66.7m high blade radius.  The Project is connected to the state-owned utility of Thailand, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), at their Mukdahan-2 station via a 55km overhead transmission line invested and operated by Winchai.  The Project is located at Rom Klao, Nikhom Kham Soi District, Mukdahan Province, Thailand.
