Description | Equinor has started commercial power production at its first hybrid power complex that combines wind and solar resources. The project includes a 140MW solar array linked to an existing 223MW wind farm, forming a 363MW hybrid power generation plant in Brazil. The hybrid project integrates solar and wind technologies to support a stable and reliable energy supply, reduce intermittency, and enhance grid stability. The plant is estimated to produce 236GWh annually and shares infrastructure to save costs during operations and maintenance. Equinor's energy trading house Danske Commodities will sell the power on the Brazilian market. |
