Description | This project involves the first phase of the construction of Serra do Serido Wind Complex, located in the state of Paraíba, Brazil. The first phase will have a capacity of 270MW, while the total planned capacity of Serra do Serido Wind Complex is 480MW. The project was made possible by the 2019 federal auction and by PPA on the open market. The construction of Serra do Seridó wind farm (phase 1) started in 2021 and the entry into commercial operation is scheduled for 2023. The sponsor is EDF Renewables and phase 1 was financed with a $59.97 million (BRL309.78 million) bond issue.
