The company took over the operation of the facilities in that same month, to serve a population of 8,000 inhabitants Bela Fonte Saneamento was a subsidiary of Novacon. The concessionaire was expected to invest a total of US$ 9.9 million over the concession period. In March 2001, the municipal government issued a decree to revert the concession.
