Set up a unit for a clientele presenting psychological and behavioral symptoms of dementia (BPSD) and renovate some of the obsolescence of the asset maintenance master plan

The project will be located at the Donnacona accommodation center and it consists of carrying out functional interventions and adaptation of the environment for a clientele presenting psychological and behavioral symptoms of dementia. The work includes: replacing a section of the two-layer elastomeric roofing, replacing asphalt shingles, repairing the metal siding, repairing the insulated siding with acrylic coating, repairing the surface of a staircase concrete, replacement of a double steel door with an insulated steel frame, replacement of windows, repair of foundation plaster, replacement of vertical plumbing, addition of a backflow preventer (DAR) , replacement of a single-phase secondary transformer (200 kVA), upgrading of fluorescent lighting fixtures (for conversion from T12 to T8) as well as dismantling of the oil reserve and elevator controller. The project will support pandemic response and economic recovery, notably by maintaining and upgrading health infrastructure.
