Settat drinking water supply and efficiency improvement

The project measures concern a package of infrastructure investments to improve the drinking water supply for the greater Settat area (Casablanca-Settat region) with treated surface water. The aim of the project is to ensure the continuous and needs-based supply of hygienically perfect drinking water that complies with Moroccan standards in the project area, particularly in the peri-urban areas and the surrounding communities of the city of Settat. To pump the water, the construction of two highly efficient pumping stations (output rate ~30,000m³/day) including power supply and system components such as storage and storage tanks is planned. In addition, additional measures to reduce water losses and increase efficiency, such as the replacement of dilapidated pipes, house connections, meters and the use of energy-efficient pumps, are planned in various provinces in Morocco (including outside the Settat area).
