Setup and Deployment of the NCC - LU (Luxembourg)

"Setup of the NCC Luxembourg The NCC-LU will support cybersecurity capacity building at national and, where relevant, regional and local levels. It also intends to foster cross-border cooperation and prepare joint actions with the ECCC. It will further enhance its capacity building, awareness and ecosystem related activities. The tasks that have been created for this call application have been designed to specifically answer to the strategic objectives covered by the NCC Network Deployment call and and beyond that, to ECCC strategy. Furthermore, the NCC-LU will set up mechanisms and infrastructure to become the contact point at national level of the Cybersecurity Community. It will provide expertise and actively contribute to the strategic tasks of the ECCC by, among others, participating in the Working Groups set up by the Network of NCC’s. The NCC-LU will conduct specific activities, in coordination with the national innovation agency, but also the chamber of commerce and the industry federation, in order to reach out to local SMB and advertise the existence of the Community. The NCC-LU will implement an assessment process aiming at validating the applicants to the Community following the guidelines created jointly by the Network of NCC’s. The process will be implemented in a specific platform developed by Luxembourg (OpenXeco). A specific support channel for applicants to DEP and HORIZON calls related to Cybersecurity will be created to help applicants to focus on the most relevant topics. Regarding Financial Support to Third Parties, the NCC-LU will set up a mechanism to promote cascading funding by mainly supporting the development of cybersecurity start-ups, promote the creation or growth of local entities developing affordable testing tools & services and by supporting the setup of cybersecurity services with a sustainable open-source business model. The funding Programme will be carried out together with the Luxembourg Ministry of Economy and will be assimilated to the national ""Research & Development"" funding Programme. Finally, it will communicate the relevant outcomes of the work of the ECCC to the Luxembourg ecosystem."
