Sewage and waste disposal in provincial towns 2008

The FC module is part of the joint development cooperation program Sustainable Urban Development Municipal Environmental Management. It includes the expansion and rehabilitation of sewage networks and the construction of sewage treatment plants in the provincial towns of Lang Son, Son La and Hoa Binh in northern Vietnam. The target group is the population living in the program area, especially in inner-city districts with neglected waste disposal infrastructure, as well as those downstream. The scope of the measures in the sub-projects is geared towards the fact that the operating costs can be covered by fee income after completion. The performance of the program sponsors, the sensitization of the population and the monitoring of environmental impacts are to be improved by the TC module of the development cooperation program.
