Sewer Main Lining

The scope of the Sewer Main Lining project is to rehabilitate the existing sewer mains in the Goulds area of the City to improve the structural integrity of the pipes and to reduce the amount of water entering the collection system by inflow and infiltration. The Project will utilize trenchless techniques to install approximately 2,700 meters of structural sewer main liner in the existing sewer pipes. In addition, repair or replacement of sections of pipe by traditional excavation methods will be required to correct some deficiencies noted in the Goulds Wastewater Monitoring Study. It is anticipated the project would extend the life of the existing wastewater collection system for up to 100 years.
