Seychelles - Aid Management Information System Project

The Aid Information Management System (AIMS) project complements the Crisis Response Budget Support (CRBS) operation for Seychelles that aims to support the Government actions to lay the foundation for macroeconomic stability and quick recovery in the post COVID-19 pandemic period. The proposed project will finance technical assistance and capacity building activities to address capacity and knowledge gap in identified areas for effective aid management and borrowing, which will also enable Seychelles to attract and better manage international environmental funds. The project will contribute immensely to enhancing transparency in management of public resources through the creation of one repository for foreign aid data. By strengthening transparency and effectiveness of aid management, it will complement Component 3 of the CRBS operation that focuses on supporting fiscal consolidation efforts geared at creating additional fiscal space, which addresses debt management challenges. The project’s two components will reinforce each other to create a significant development impact through enhancing capacity for a transparent and accurate government reporting and effective aid management, coordination and programming.
