A new EU Media support programme is to recover market back to normal conditions after Pandemic era. The main objective of the new programme is to support European films´ coverage in the fragile market wounded by resent crises years. Major US studio releases can still deliver well in the new market driven by massive global campaigns. This is practically an overseas supremacy of the media space, hardly letting any room for variety of the European films. The programme hopefully enables the existence and variety of the European films, especially on the big screen, will continue and remain also in the future. A local target is to release two to four European films in a year. In practise this is at least one film targeted to children or families and the rest of the slate is focusing on adult audience having also a strong relation to local festivals and a heritage of cultural understanding of European quality films. The importance of the programme is pervasive. The number of direct beneficiaries of the programme is round twenty and indirectly the programme creates support to hundreds of people working in the value chain of distribution. This programme includes titles separately mentioned in the application forms.
