The proposed IFC investment is an unfunded Risk Sharing Facility (RSF or Facility) for a portfolio of loans that will be originated by the Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL or the Originator), a state-owned non-banking financial institution (NBFI), to finance rooftop solar projects undertaken by the commercial and industrial (C&I) users in Bangladesh (the Portfolio). The Portfolio will have a maximum total amount of US$150 million in equivalent Bangladesh Taka (BDT) and is expected to support deployment of up to 300 megawatts (MW) solar rooftop generation capacity. The RSF is expected to have a facility life of up to 13 years inclusive of a ramp-up period of up to 36 months, with the tenor of each underlying loan being up to 10 years. IFC will share 50% of the risk of the Portfolio and will have a risk exposure of up to US$75 million in equivalent BDT (the Project).                                                This project was previously disclosed as project #49271.
