Description

Description

The FC project Resilience Programme for Employment-Intensive Measures II is part of the MENA special initiative launched by the BMZ in 2014. As part of the resilience programme, a grant totalling EUR 25 million will be implemented over four phases via the Social Fund for Development (SFD) in Yemen. The funds are intended exclusively for labour-intensive infrastructure measures (cash-for-work approach) with a wage share of at least 60%. The aim of the FC measure is to contribute to stabilising and improving resilience in the current crisis for poor population groups in rural areas of Yemen. By providing poverty-oriented basic infrastructure, the SFD makes a significant contribution to alleviating the consequences of the political crisis and violent conflict for the target group in Yemen and thus contributes to economic stabilisation.
