The FC module SFD - Crisis Program Education is a continuation of Germany's commitment to the Yemeni education sector. The aim is to maintain and improve access to and use of primary and secondary school education and the quality of education, especially for girls. The module addresses key obstacles to access to primary and secondary school education, especially for girls. On the one hand, it contributes to maintaining and improving access and the learning environment by improving school infrastructure and equipping it with furniture and teaching and learning materials. On the other hand, it is planned to improve the learning environment and the quality of teaching through teacher training and further training for unemployed young people with a minimum level of education and their use as additional volunteer teachers. The preferential selection of women with equal qualifications and suitability increases the proportion of female teachers. The module also finances expense allowances for volunteer teachers and transport costs for formal teachers in rural areas. An FC contribution of EUR 19 million is planned to finance the module. The personal contribution will be waived due to the war situation.
