SG3 Contract B Small Diameter Rehabilitation

The Department is continuing the implementation of the Sewer Rehabilitation Program to upgrade its existing small diameter sewers to reduce the amount of extraneous flows, infiltration and inflow (I/I) entering the system, in addition to eliminating sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs) and capacity limitations. The project proposes to rehabilitate the sanitary sewers in Sewer Group Three (SG3), which have been identified under the Sewer System Evaluation Survey (SSES) and as required by the First Amended Consent Decree. To accomplish this objective, the City is proposing system improvements for small diameter sewers situated in both the Proctor Creek and Sandy Creek Sewer Basins. Rehabilitation will extend the life of sewer assets. Structural upgrades to the system are necessary to replace old and deteriorated sewers in order to promote extended service life, reliability, and improve flow conveyance.
