1 - Context The Youth Express Network (Y-E-N) is a pan-European network that promotes the social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities/NEET (18-35 year-old), by bringing together 33 youth-led and grass-root organisations based in 19 countries. We maintain a strong presence in regions where democracy and European values are facing major challenges (WB9). We do our best to engage young people in meaningful activities that amplify their voices, promote social inclusion, and encourage active participation in their communities. By providing capacity-building opportunities and training to our member organisations, we engage them to empower young people to take leadership roles and drive positive change within their communities. 2 - Support to functionality The office is based in Strasbourg, France and currently consists of 3 full-time staff: a Network Coordinator, a Project Officer and a Communication Officer The organization's governance structure centers around a Board of Directors comprising 6 young administrators. Y-E-N actively participates in European institutions through its membership to the European Youth Forum and engagement in the EU Youth Dialogue and the EYE. In 2025, the Y-E-N office will also host (some Service Civique volunteers) and facilitate volunteers placement among its network (ESC lead label). 3 - Support to operation For 2025, we have developed a program dedicated to reinforcing our network’s skills and bringing new partnerships. It comprises mobility for NEETs and training courses for youth workers, as well as sensibilisation actions (advocacy) toward the public audience. -Youth Exchanges (Greece - environment / Latvia - youth work) -Training Course (Budapest - mental health and well being / Bulgaria - Partnership Building Activity) -Study Visits (Germany, The Netherlands and Türkiye) -Fair and local activities: (EYE, Europe Day, Erasmus Day etc) -Statutory events (Y-E-N GA, YFJ COMEM & EU Youth Dialogue Conference)
