Description | Translated version of this PSD: French The EBRD is considering the provision to Société Générale Marocaine de Banques (“SGMB”) of a senior loan of €20 million to on-lend to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Morocco. The loan will increase the access to funding of Moroccan MSMEs, provide a transfer of skills to selected m-icro and small enterprise clients through workshops and potentially increase competition in the Moroccan banking sector in the MSME segment. Société Générale Marocaine de Banques. Senior loan of €20 million. €20 million to be provided in euros. Categorised FI: SGMB will be required to comply with EBRD’s PRs 2& 9, adhere to the EBRD’s Environmental and Social Exclusion and Referral Lists and implement the EBRD’s Environmental and Social Procedures for Corporate Lending. SGMB will submit Annual Environmental and Social Reports to the EBRD. Workshops will help selected micro and small enterprises improve their understanding of bank services, the quality of their loan applications, and their financial and management skills.
