Shaanxi Yang County Urban Wastewater Treatment Plant

In January 2011 a Chinese local private company, Sound Group was granted an agreement to build and operate a wastewater treatment plant in Yang County, Shaanxi Province. The facility has a short term capacity of 20,000 cubic meters and long term capacity of 40,000 cubic meters. The project includes the construction of 51.08 km long collection network and pump station. A project company, Hanyuan Water Affairs Co., Ltd was registered at Hanyuan City with a registration capital of 7.28 million US$ in July 2011. The project was formally approved by the local government in August 2011, which required the construction contract to be procured on an open competitive basis. Three construction bidders were shortlisted in September 2011. The total investment is US$ 18.20 million. Once completed, the wastewater treatment facility will be operated by Hanyuan Water Affairs Co., Ltd. for 30 years.
