Shared Ground – A Contemporary Reading of the Greek Village

unbuilt

Shared Ground is a hospitality proposal by Aristides Dallas Architects that reinterprets the spatial intelligence of traditional Greek settlements through a contemporary architectural language. The project is designed as a dispersed settlement following the site's natural topography, with buildings positioned and rotated according to the terrain. It includes accommodation units grouped into three residential typologies organized into small neighborhood clusters around shared outdoor spaces, with communal areas such as swimming pools, dining terraces, and a central elevated public square with a restaurant, café, and retail spaces. The design emphasizes integration with the landscape and community interaction while preserving privacy.
