Description

Meet Our goal is to bridge the gap between the world of documentaries and its audience by giving them a tool to actively engage after watching a documentary. Share.Doc found out in a pilot that after seeing ‘the bad news’ the audience wants something that gives hope, wants to be part of the unfolding story of a protagonist in need. When emotions run high and the viewer feels it’s time for concrete action, there are still no tools available. This is where Share.Doc comes in by providing an instant possibility to act-on, by scanning the QR code on the credits or on the ticket which is linked to the film; offering A. to participate in a hands-on actions, or B. giving a donation directly to the protagonist P2P or to an charity with the same goals. The audience where empowered had greater satisfaction and liked watching a documentary with pressing issues more often. This engagment stimulate audience growth and bonding. During our pilot, it became clear that: A)Young people find the tools to donate instantly very attractive, fitting their life style. We can therefore give an increase to young people which the industry needs. The festival audience has been ageing in recent years. B)The film industry has interest since they can benefit from our platform. One World: Collaboration with Share.Doc is interesting for us for several reasons. The project has a potential to become a single platform continually working with impact. With more HRF festivals on board, there is a space for networking and closer collaboration. C)The platform support films by running micro-campaigns. 60% of Human Rights films are realized in EU countries. 25 HRFF are spread over 10 EU countries . Visitors per festival is from 25.000 to 120.000. 40% of the HR films are also programmed at Regular festivals in Europe. A self-reliant platform after 3 years, through a fee of 7% incurred from the donations. It will be the first platform of it's kind focusing exclusively on the documentary industry.
