Description
Description | The SHARE project (Sharing Harmony, Awareness, and Responsibility in European Education) aims to enhance the teaching of EU values, sustainability, and inclusion in primary education. By equipping teachers with innovative methodologies and interdisciplinary learning strategies, the project fosters active citizenship, environmental responsibility, and digital competencies among students aged 11-14. The project aligns with EU priorities by promoting democracy, human rights, diversity, and green skills, ensuring that students develop a deeper understanding of these fundamental principles. To achieve these objectives, the project follows a structured approach with five work packages (WPs). WP1 ensures effective project management, coordination, and risk mitigation. WP2 delivers teacher training in key EU topics, sustainability, and inclusion, equipping them with modern pedagogical skills. WP3 focuses on developing educational materials, including interdisciplinary lesson plans and digital resources. WP4 pilots and refines these materials through interactive student activities, including EU-themed clubs and sustainability initiatives. WP5 ensures long-term impact by disseminating project outcomes through an online platform, eTwinning collaborations, conferences, and educational networks. The project’s relevance to the EU work programme is clear: it addresses gaps in EU-focused education, enhances teacher training and student engagement, and strengthens European collaboration. The expected outcomes include improving teachers' confidence in teaching EU subjects, increasing students' awareness of EU values, and fostering sustainable, long-term integration of EU topics into school curricula. The project ensures scalability and sustainability by providing open-access materials, forming networks for continued collaboration, and integrating EU themes into school development plans. |
