The project involves the regeneration of two former industrial brownfield sites, Furnace Hill and Neepsend, in Sheffield into vibrant, mixed-use residential neighbourhoods delivering up to 1,300 new homes. Led by Homes England in partnership with Sheffield City Council, the scheme will transform long-vacant land into sustainable communities with a mix of affordable, build-to-rent and homes for sale, alongside later-living accommodation. The development includes new public green spaces, improved walking and cycling connections, enhanced access to public transport, and the preservation of key industrial heritage assets. Backed by significant government investment, the project aims to support housing delivery, economic growth, and urban renewal within Sheffield’s city centre.
