The project is located in the village of Blitta and will power more than 222,000 households. Sponsor of the project is AMEA Power and the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) signed a $25 million loan to finance the project. The offtaker is local energy utility Compagnie Energie Electrique du Togo (CEET). Financial close for the expansion was achieved on 23 November, 2022.
