The project comprises Shenergy Hainan CZ2 offshore wind power demonstration project, which reached financial close via a syndicated Loan, signed around December 18, 2023. The sponsor is Hainan Shenergy New Energy Co., Ltd., part of Shenergy Group Co. Ltd. The company both invests in and constructs the projects. The total investment is $2079.1m (14.8 billion yuan), as the equity funding is around $421.4m (3 billion yuan) and the debt funding nears $1657.7m (11.8 billion yuan), extended by the project syndicate, led by Bank of China Yangpu Branch, with Bank of Communications, Shenergy Finance Company, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, China Development Bank and China Construction Bank participating. The project planned capacity is 1200MW. It is planned to install 150 wind turbines with a single capacity of 8.0 MW and supporting Build 2 220kV offshore booster stations and 1 onshore centralized control center.
