Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel Senior Housing Conversion

The Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel in Atlantic City is undergoing a conversion project to replace approximately half of its 500 hotel rooms with 130 age-restricted senior homes. The project aims to renovate the older hotel into a first-class hotel with a smaller footprint and add senior housing units targeted at the 55-and-older market. Amenities for residents will include a golf simulator, a pool, barbecue, shops, a bar, and a cafe. The project has received approval from the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) and is moving forward with layoffs of 126 hotel workers as part of the transition.
