In April 2011, a local private company GIGA Solar Holdig signed an agreement with the Sheyang County Government to build and operate a 30MW PV plant in Sheyang County, Jiangsu Province. Construction commenced in July 2011 and the plant came into operation in Jan 2012. GIGA Solar had a 100% stake in the plant but the total investment was still unknown. At least 25% of construction had been achieved
