Description | On December 2008, Energis Power Corporation (Bangladesh, 100 %) a Bangladeshi Independent Power Producer, signed rental agreement with Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) for the construction and operation for a 3 years term of a 55MW Heavy fuel oil (HFO) power plants at Shikalbaha, Chittagong. Under the Rental agreement, Energis was to supply 55 MW of energy to BPDB for a term of 3 years. The remainder of the energy was to be sold to the public. Following a direct negotiation process, Energis was awarded to set up a 55 MW HFO power plant at Meghnaghat. The total project cost was 13 US millions and reached financial closure in April 2009, after the BPDB report. Note that the power plant started generation in June 2009. sponsor missing in the data |
