Description | Shinsegae, a major South Korean retail conglomerate, is partnering with U.S. AI startup Reflection AI to build a 250MW-scale ultra-large AI data center in South Korea. This is the largest AI-dedicated data center built by a single company in South Korea. The project aims to advance AI commerce and cloud services by integrating AI technology across shopping, logistics, and payments. Shinsegae will lead the data center construction by handling site selection, facility operation, and power supply, while Reflection AI will provide GPU infrastructure design, AI models, and service technologies. The project is part of the U.S. government's AI export program, and a joint venture between Shinsegae and Reflection AI is planned for the second half of the year. |
