Description | This project comprises the development, construction, and operation of a 100 MW wind power plant, located in Sarysu district, Zhambyl region, Kazakhstan. It is implemented by Shokpar Wind Power Station LLP - a joint venture between China Power International Holding Ltd., a Chinese state-owned power utility (63%), and Visor International DMCC (37%). Total investment stands at $128 million, of which $40 million loan is provided by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), $50 million loan by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and $10 million by Clean Technology Fund and/or Green Climate Fund.
