Description | The project involves the construction of phase II of Shouguang Waste-to-energy plant, located in Shandong Province of China. Phase II of the project has a designed daily waste processing capacity of 400 tonnes (146,000 tonnes/year) and will be equipped with one 400 tonnes/day mechanic grate furnaces and one 9 MW steam turbine power generator. Phase II is expected to generate approximately 40 million kWh of green electricity per year. Upon Phase II completion, the total designed daily waste processing capacity of the whole plant will reach 1,000 tonnes, which will generate on-grid electricity up to 120 million kWh annually. The sponsor is China Everbright International Ltd. The project cost is approximately CNY 240 million or $ 34 million.
