Show Racism the Red Card Europe is a 24-month anti-racism and discrimination programme which is based on the proven concept of the Red Card Campaign which is delivered in the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands but is not used in other countries in Europe. SRtRC utilises the high-profile status of football and football players to help tackle racism in society. The majority of the campaign’s output is an awareness-raising campaign in stadiums and in grassroots clubs and the delivery of education to young people and adults in their schools, their workplaces and at events held in football stadiums. The project organisations will share best practices & agree on the creation, adaptation or further development of educational resources & forms from the European SRtRC network. This international collaboration aims to establish a European-wide anti-racism awareness & educational heritage, easily transferable & adaptable to pupils & organisations. Objectives - Raised awareness of diversity - Foster tolerance & social cohesion through targeted prevention activities - Reduce physical & verbal violence linked to racism & make society aware of its impact on individuals - Produce European media campaigns (in/out stadium) & engaging multiplier clubs/sport organisations - Create qualitative high, comprehensive & transferable educational materials Activities - 6 International Meetings - 3x 10 weeks of multiple educational workshops for schools + SRtRC School competition + Final event - Educational workshops per grassroots section + SRtRC Football Festival - “Train the Trainer” & “Train the Teacher” online course - 1x global + 1x local SRtRC Awareness campaign Type & number of persons benefiting from the project - At least 8000 pupils and 400 teachers (schools) - At least 20000 grassroots players & 450 coaches - Ten thousands of the general public Expected results - Reduction of racism incidents/manifestations - Increased expertise & capacity of the SRtRC stakeholders to prevent, address, handle & react to racism - Strengthen local cooperation between various stakeholders - Increase social cohesion & harmonious interactions among co-living communities Type & number of deliverables to be produced - 5000 Educational Pack (Manual, Workbook & Methodology) - 1x 10 min.
