RP Global (the sponsor) is proposing to develop the 43.7 MW Danilo Wind Farm straddling three locations covering a total area of approx 210 ha that together will produce 97.5 GWh per year. Specifically, the wind farm consists of three sets of turbines -- 9 turbines on Velika Glava site, which is approx 3 km apart from two adjacent sites Bubrig with 8 turbines and Crni Vrh site with 2 turbines -totaling 19 turbines in all. The Project will have its own power substation, and will include 7,3 km double overhead 110 kV transmission line. The Danilo Wind Farm is located in the Dalmatia region about 15-16 km southeast of the town Šibenik in the area that is administratively split between municipalities Sibenik, Drnis and Ugresic. The distance to the Adriatic Sea is about 15 km. The wind farms sites are located on hills ridges with an elevation of about 420 to 540m meters above sea level. The wider plain area around the project location is open and mostly used for agricultural purposes and livestock grazing. The Project will be developed by RP Global, a renewable energy company that currently has several hundreds of MW of wind power under development in Portugal, France, Poland, Chile and Croatia. RP Global’s project management team will implement the Project through a multi-contract structure. Both supply and installation agreement and service agreement with EPK (“Enercon Partner Konzept”) for a duration of 15 years is being negotiated. The scope of supply includes delivery and installation of 19 Enercon E-82 E2 2,3 MW with 79 steel tower height and 82m rotor diameter. The wind farm will be connected to the grid through a 7,3 km double 110 kV overhead transmission line to the Podi industrial zone. Start of construction is scheduled for June 2012, while the commercial operation is expected to start by May 2013. This Project presents a first stage of the larger development (88 MW), for which RP Global has obtained the Location Permit from MofEnv of Croatia.
