Description | On April 2011, Dutch Bangla power, an Orion group Subsidiary (Bangladesh, 100%) a Bangladeshi Independent Power Producer, signed rental agreement with Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) for the construction and operation for a 5 years term of a 100 MW Heavy Fuel Oil power plants at Siddirganj. Under the Rental agreement, Dutch Bangla power was to supply 100 MW of energy to BPDB for a term of 5 years. The remainder of the energy was to be sold to the public. Following a direct negotiation process, Dutch Bangla power was awarded to set up a 100 MW HFO power plant at Siddirganj. The total project cost was 39.4 US millions and reached financial closure in April 2011, according to the signing date. Note that the power plant has been achieved in July 2011 and is actually generating. sponsors missing |
