Description | On April 2011, Dutch Bangla power, an Orion group Subsidiary (Bangladesh, 100%) a Bangladeshi Independent Power Producer, signed rental agreement with Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) for the construction and operation for a 5 years term of a 100 MW Heavy Fuel Oil power plants at Siddirganj. Under the Rental agreement, Dutch Bangla power was to supply 100 MW of energy to BPDB for a term of 5 years. The remainder of the energy was to be sold to the public. Following a direct negotiation process, Dutch Bangla power was awarded to set up a 100 MW HFO power plant at Siddirganj. The total project cost was 39.4 US millions and reached financial closure in April 2011, according to the signing date.
