This proj. consists of streetscape imprvmts. along various streets in downtown Vidalia. The improvements include the construction of new sidewalks; curb repairs, minor drainage work, landscaping, & street furniture. The project will consist of approximately 0.40 miles of resurfacing on McIntosh St, SR 130 (Pine St), & Thompson St, resurfacing approximately 4,250 square yards of downtown parking, 2,376' of concrete sidewalk, typically 5' to 6' wide & incorporating brick pavers, stamped concrete, & tree grates to achieve a streetscape appearance. Existing sidewalks, curb & gutter, driveways, concrete slab, & trees will be removed and replaced. Curb ramps will be reconstructed to comply with ADA standards. Landscaped trees will be added for beautification in tree wells between the back of the curb & sidewalk. The streets within the project limits & a parking area will be resurfaced with minor widening. Waterlines for landscape irrigation will be located below the proposed sidewalks.
