Jaypee Group established Sidhi Power Limited (SPL), a special purpose vehicle, to implement the project. Jaypee Group bagged the tender on a negotiated basis. The bidding and financial details are not available in public domain. The project cost was estimated to be approximately USD 984 million. The project achieved its financial closure in September 2008 with ICICI solely arranged to finance the 1320 MW coal based power plant. |
