Siem Reap – Angkor International airport PPP project in Cambodia

The project involves the construction of the New Siem Reap–Angkor International Airport in Cambodia.The upcoming 700-ha airport is set to replace the present Siem Reap airport and will be constructed in three distinct phases. The first two phases will focus on developing an airport classified as 4E, which will enable it to handle short- to medium-haul planes, with a capacity of up to 7 million passengers annually. In the third phase, the airport may expand to 4F compliance, which would allow it to cater to long-haul aircraft.The airport is located in the northwest province of Siem Reap, near Angkor Wat. The airport is being built with modern facilities, including an eco-friendly design, and is expected to provide significant economic benefits to the region by boosting tourism and facilitating the movement of goods and people.
