Signalling and Telecom Project by RVNL for IRCON International

Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) has emerged as the Lowest Bidder for a Rs 178.64 crore contract from IRCON International. The project involves the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of signalling, telecommunications, and Electronic In-Motion Weighbridge (EIMWB) materials. It includes installation of Electronic Interlocking systems at 10 new stations, setting up six new Intermediate Block Signalling systems, installation of a new Section Control System with train control communication systems, a new telephone exchange, and upgrades to signalling and telecommunications. Modifications will also be made to existing interlocking installations at Kusmunda Block Station and SECL SILO Siding yard. The project is expected to be completed within 11 months including the monsoon period.
