Description
Description | The project will contribute to providing high-quality statistical data on income and living conditions domain. The main goals of the project are: i) to contribute to meeting the growing need for accurate, up-to-date and high-quality data on living conditions and social inequality by continuing the Infra Annual Survey (WP1), ii) to implement the 2024 module and prepare the 2025 module regarding EU-SILC (WP2 Part 1) and iii) to enhance the effectiveness and quality of EU-SILC data collection by investigating how to utilize new data sources in respondent contacting (WP2 Part 2). WP1 refers to the objective 3 of the action and aims to continue quarterly data collection of Infra Annual Survey thus enabling Finland to provide high-quality short-term data on household income, living conditions and social inequality. Furthermore, the Infra Annual Survey enables Statistics Finland to continue the development and implementation of a cost-effective adaptative survey design by using para-data information when planning the contact strategy. WP2 is divided into two parts. Part 1 refers to the objective 2 of the action and will contribute to the accurate and comparable data of the modules of the EU-SILC revision (EU 2019/1700). The tasks of part 1 are to process variables for the 2024 6-yearly module on Access to services as well as analysing the data quality and validating the output variables to be included in the FI-SILC 2024 data files. Regarding the 2025 module on Energy and environment, the tasks of the action consist of preparatory and testing work. Part 2 refers to the objective 1 of the action and includes activities to increase the efficiency and quality of the EU-SILC data collection by utilizing new data sources in respondent contacting. Investigating and implementing the use of additional and more comprehensive contact information for the respondents will improve both the efficiency and the quality of the data collection by reducing non-response and bias. |
