Description | Silver Maple Solar is a proposed 1,900-acre, 200-megawatt solar development on agricultural-zoned land south of I-196 near Ottawa Executive Airport in Zeeland Township and Jamestown Township. The project aims to power more than 34,000 homes and generate $31.6 million in tax revenue over 35 years, with about $15 million going to local school districts. The land will be restored for agricultural use after decommissioning. RWE plans to start construction as early as 2027, depending on the approval process chosen. |
