Description | A large-scale commercial solar farm project planned by RWE in Ottawa County, Michigan, covering up to 1,900 acres on multiple leased properties in Zeeland and Jamestown townships. The 200-megawatt solar project aims to generate enough electricity to power over 34,000 homes and is expected to generate $31.6 million in local tax revenue over its lifetime. Construction is planned to start in spring 2027 with operations beginning by fall 2028. The project will be decommissioned at the end of its operational life, with land restored to its original use. |
