Sinergie would sell electricity to the government at a pre-determined price.

Description | In Novermber 2004 the Government of Sao Tome signed a 45 year concession agreement with Sinergie Investment (Portugal) to rehabilitate and operate the hydroelectric plant at Contador and construction and operation of a new hydroelectric plant on the Yo Grande river. Sinergie would sell electricity to the government at a pre-determined price. The contract was expected to require US$ 50 million of investment. Work on the Yo Grande dam and power station was expected to be completed in 2007.
