Description | The BMC is constructing the Sion Railway Overbridge within railway limits, including the approach road, two pedestrian underpasses, and other related works. The project aims to ease inconvenience caused by the closure of the century-old bridge in front of Sion station, which has disrupted daily commutes. A pedestrian underpass on Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg has been completed and opened to the public, while a second underpass on the Dharavi side is under construction. The western side work is expected to be completed by May 31, 2026, and full completion of the project is expected by July 15, 2026. |
