Description | The financing will be used for the construction of Siti small hydro power plant, located across River Siti, Bukwo District, in northeastern Uganda. Sponsor of the project is DI Frontier Market Energy & Carbon Fund K/S. Nederlandse Financierings-Maatschappij voor Ontwikkelingslanden N.V. (FMO) provided a 15-year $10.8m term loan and the sponsor contributed $4.6m equity. Allen & Overy advised FMO on the deal. Construction of the plant is scheduled to last for two years. Once operational the Siti 1 SHPP project will provide 22.5 GWh of clean energy annually. |
