Description | The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced the construction of a six-lane elevated flyover at AIIMS Bibinagar along the Hyderabad–Yadadri stretch of NH-163. The flyover spans 690 metres with 23 spans of 30 metres each and is part of a larger infrastructure upgrade covering 1.70 kilometres. The project aims to improve road safety, reduce congestion, and provide smoother access to the hospital. It includes development of 1.48 kilometres of service roads, modern street lighting, bus shelters, traffic signage, safety markings, drainage systems with footpaths, and reconstruction of six culverts. The elevated flyover replaces earlier proposals for underpasses to offer a more sustainable solution for increasing traffic volumes. |
