Description | The Skyview 2 BESS is a 411MW/1,858MWh battery energy storage system located in Edwardsburgh Cardinal, Ontario, Canada. Developed by Potentia Renewables in collaboration with the Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation, the project aims to support Ontario's clean electricity grid and energy storage capacity. E-Storage, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar, is contracted to provide engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, supplying around 390 units of its SolBank 3.0 energy storage solution. The project includes system integration, substation work, balance-of-plant tasks, and a 21-year Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA). Shipments are expected to begin in February 2026, with commercial operation planned for Q2 2027. |
