Description | LOESCHE has been awarded a contract by Ferro Duo GmbH for the delivery of a slag grinding plant at its facility in Duisburg, North Rhine-Westphalia. This project marks the first milestone in setting up a new industrial supplementary cementitious materials (SCM) site aimed at scaling up CO2-reduced building materials in Europe with a planned capacity of several hundred thousand tons per year. The plant includes a LOESCHE vertical roller mill with a dynamic classifier, rotary feeder, product filter, mill fan, complete mechanical and electrical systems, and steel structure. An electrical heater is used instead of a fossil fuel hot gas generator. LOESCHE also acts as EPC management partner supporting tenders, construction, and installation. |
