Created in 2015, DAYLIGHT FILMS is a production company recognized in Belgium and France for its high standards in the production of films capable of reaching large audiences, in Europe as well as in Africa. The company has a proven track record of producing feature films selected in Category A Festivals. Today, at a turning point in its development, DAYLIGHT is determined to take a new step forward. To do this, the entire DAYLIGHT team is working on a plural strategy: • Diversify our production: offer films with high content potential - themes, casting, production value; • Strengthen both our presence in international markets and category A festivals, as well as in cinemas and on platforms, essential for film distribution; • Foster our dual identity of production in Europe and in Africa, which is also the singularity of the DAYLIGHT brand; • Increase international visibility: a complete overhaul of communication has been underway since 2021 and will be made public in 2022 a new logo and a new website; • Increase our potential in order to bring in new writer-directors and offer prestigious and international castings for our upcoming projects. Promoting cinematographic diversity has always been part of Daylight's DNA. But one of our company's new challenges is now to address a greater variety of publics, including young and family audiences, as well as conquering international markets, festivals and platforms. In order to achieve these goals, Daylight will rely on its anchoring and connections in Africa to develop two upcoming projects : a Congolese political thriller and a fiction that combines live action and animation by female Romanian director Anca Damian. Daylight will also continue to stick to what has remained one of its fundamental values throughout the years : supporting young Belgian talents who are expected to stand at the forefront of tomorrow's next generation European filmmakers. We’re now developing Michiel Blanchart’s next feature film, after the incredible success of his short film “You’re dead Helen”, short listed for the Oscars 2022 and currently being adapted to a feature with TriStar.
