Description | The overall project Smart and Innovative Rural Areas (SIRA) Danube, aims at fostering the competitiveness of rural areas by enhancing their institutional set-up. For this purpose, SIRA Danube forms innovation hubs and centres of competences for knowledge brokerage in the Danube Region and establishes their transnational network structure. The main objective of the START project was to develop the complete project plan and proposal for funding within the Danube Transnational Programme 2014-2020 for the described overall project. Together with ten already-existing partners, the draft concept was specified, including its legal and financial set-up, stakeholder involvement and national co-financing and sustainability of the centres of competences |
